Ending the 4km Water Journey in Chikwawa

Before: A Dangerous Daily Journey

Women and girls walked 4km daily through dangerous paths to fetch contaminated water, facing violence and harassment that threatened their safety and dignity.

Health Crisis in T/A Kasisi

Cholera outbreaks were devastating these villages. Contaminated water sources made families sick, with women and children suffering the most from waterborne diseases.

After: Safety and Health Restored

Clean water now available within 100 meters. Women and girls are protected, cholera cases have plummeted, and children can focus on school instead of water collection.

We received funding from UNESCO to launch an initiative to address these challenges. Now, we can testify that it is a safe and inspiring space to learn and grow.
